Badges

All registered participants will receive a personal badge upon registration and are requested to wear it during sessions or any social event.

Mobile Phones

Participants are kindly asked to turn off their mobile phones or set them to silent mode during all presentations.

Program Changes

The organizers accept no responsibility for any changes to the program due to external or unforeseen circumstances. The organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or modify any of the sessions, or to add new sessions.

Certificates of Attendance

Certificates of participation are provided to all participants.

Disclaimer

The organizing committee accepts no responsibility for any damage and/or loss that may be incurred by a participant during the conference activities or related social events. Participants take part in all conference-related events at their own risk. Participants are advised to claim any loss or damage they may suffer during the conference or while traveling to and from the conference venue through their insurance.

Force Majeure

The organizers reserve the right to cancel the MAIA Conference without prior notice or compensation in the event of force majeure (for example, but not limited to, acts of nature such as fire, earthquake, hurricane, volcanic eruption, flood, or terrorist attacks). In such cases, the organizers are released from all liability and no claims for damages and/or losses will be accepted. Limitation of organizational liability: In the event that it becomes impossible to hold the MAIA Conference due to force majeure, provided that the cause is not attributable to the organizers, the organization will only be required to refund payments received, less expenses incurred for the preparation of the event. This liability applies only to payments made directly to the conference organization and not to payments made by participants to hotels or airlines.

Insurance

The conference organizing committee will not accept any responsibility for the individual medical, travel, or personal insurance of conference participants. All participants are strongly advised to obtain personal insurance before attending the Conference. The organizing committee will not be responsible for the loss or damage of participants’ personal belongings.

Banks

Banks are open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Banks are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Many banks have automatic currency exchange machines that also accept credit cards. Most hotels, restaurants, and shops accept major credit cards.

Electricity

The voltage is 230 V, 50 Hz. Plugs have two or three round pins. Foreign voltage may require an adapter.

Public Transport

Authorized taxis are white, and large taxis are blue and white; they have an identification number and can be hailed at any time (24/7), anywhere on the streets or at taxi stations.
Martil and Tetouan have a comprehensive bus network. Services run every day from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets cost 4 Dh (about €0.37).

Climate

In December, the average temperature ranges between 12°C and 17°C.
